Our web servers are housed at an Equinix Data Center located in Toronto, Canada.
The web servers are directly connected to a world-class fibre optic network
which ensures that your web site experiences superior performance in a
fully-redundant and secure environment.
Faria Associates deploys and maintains the latest in web server technology. All
web sites are hosted on Dell web servers running Dual Quad Core Processors and
backended with NetApp Storage arrays. Speed, reliability and performance define
our web server technology.
Network Security
Because access to the data center isn't only physical, we provide our customers
an unparalleled level of security via virus protection, enterprise class
firewalls with a layered architecture, real-time security alerting using
intrusion detection scanners, and 24 hour monitoring from our Certified
Information Systems Security Professionals.
World-class Network
By combining bundles of fiber optics with the redundant network engineering on
multiple tier 1 service providers, our network is able to create alternate
routes for data transmission. This maximizes the throughput speed and capacity
of each strand of fiber-optic cable. The result is a fast and reliable network
connection on which our customers can rely.
Power Systems
The Data center is built with 100% power availability as a key objective. The
diesel powered generator coupled with backup UPS (Uninterruptible Power System)
results in ourability to provide highly reliable and available hosting services.
Constant Cooling System
The HVAC cooling systems ensures that our servers operate in ideal conditions.
Multiple A/C units provide cooling and humidification to the room and are rated
for 100% design load redundancy. The following room conditions are maintained:
Air temperature: 21 - 24 C (70-75 F)
Relative humidity: 45% - 55%
Fire Suppression System
FM-200 is an environmentally safe, non-toxic, rapid-acting fire suppression
agent. It was developed as a zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) replacement
for Halon 1301.The system's primary role is to suppress any fire hazards before
the pre-action system activates. The major benefit in a data center is the
reduction in damage to equipment in the event of a discharge, in comparison to a
water based system.
